| Summary of Issue | My request has to do with non-manufactured holes and cracks in the service side of brake chambers, I would like to see them included in the 20% rule for brake defects and a standalone violation under the front steering axle brake section. I am not sure what the difference is between a loose chamber and one that open up like a clam upon application. I could make the assumption that one that opens up would not have the same brake force as one that is just loose as the one that is loose would stop and hold where the one that opens is hinging. I am also sending a picture of one that has non-manufactured holes that is still functioning properly, but would like some type of clarification as to when this chamber would be considered defective. |
