| Summary of Issue | Brake linings; We have found brake linings that are separating from the shoe and the lining itself. The industry has stated that the problem is \"rust jacking\". This is where rust will build up on the shoe between the shoe and the lining causing a void or gap. The void has been measured at 1/2 in places. This causes the lining not to make 100% contact with the drum. Is the void caused by the rust jacking an OOS under 393.47a? |
