| Justification or Need | Vehicles with disc brakes, or low clearance vehicles does not allow inspector to make the physical measurements of brake stroke lengths. |
| Request for Action | Allow PBBT brake test results to be used in place of physical stroke length measurements for airbrakes during a Level I or a Level V inspection.Consultation with Tennessee DOT resulted in the attached proposal to amend the Level I procedure. The intent is to amend the Level V procedure as well once the amendment to the Level One Procedure is approved. See Attachment. |
