| Summary of Issue | The MCI J model motorcoach has a type 30 long stroke brake with a 3 inch maximum stroke (type 30L3) on the driver axle. The CVSA out-of-service criteria doesn't include this specific type in its Long Stroke Reference Chart (page 15-version April 1, 2005) |
| Justification or Need | This would be a clarification to the reference chart to include a new type brake. |
| Request for Action | Request the OOSC be amended on page 15 by placing an asterisk on the Type 30 long stroke clamp type brake chamber data chart (same asterisk as the Type 24) and change the footnote to read: NOTE: For 3" maximum stroke Type 24 and 30L3 chambers. |
