| Summary of Issue | In the CVSA OOSC Part II Policy Statement reference is made that violations other than OOS violations must be corrected or repaired prior to redispatch. |
| Justification or Need | Clarification is sought on the meaning of redispatch to accommodate uniformity nationally and internationally. Does redispatch mean when a vehicle is dispatched from point A to point B then off loads does this conclude the dispatched trip? If a vehicle is dispatched from point A and includes various consignees requiring various drops is the dispatch trip concluded at the first drop or last drop? If a bus (school bus) is scheduled to operate on a daily route that includes pick up and drop off in the morning (point A and B) and then pick up and drop off in the afternoon point C and D), does the dispatched trip conclude before picking up at point C or does it conclude at point D? |
| Request for Action | Clarification on what is the current definition of redispatch and include the definition in the OOSC Policy Statement. If there is no designated definition of redispatch request a CVSA definition be developed, and be included in the Policy Statement. |
