| Summary of Issue | I would like to propose a minor change to Ops Policy 1. The current statement reads: Each jurisdiction should allow and encourage all motor carriers to enroll and participate in an electronic bypass program. Enrollment acceptance or denial will be jurisdictional specific subject to their laws, policies, and criteria. |
| Justification or Need | Due to conflict of interest rules in the state, we cannot encourage a motor carrier to enroll in an electronic bypass program. |
| Request for Action | I think we need to remove the words (and encourage) to read as follows: Each jurisdiction should allow all motor carriers to enroll and participate in an electronic bypass program. Enrollment acceptance or denial will be jurisdictional specific subject to their laws, policies, and criteria. |
