| Summary of Issue | If a driver that is required an ELD gets inspected, after April 1, 2018, and cannot provide an ELD, will the driver be placed OOS until the driver gets an ELD or for 10 hours? Is there a plan to address this issue? I do not think it is addressed under current policy? |
| Justification or Need | The OOS criteria needs to address the issue of an ELD required driver not having an ELD. Will the driver be OOS until an ELD device is installed. Can the vehicle be towed from the scene etc.? |
| Request for Action | The OOS criteria should state the driver is OOS as long as he is with the same company on the same trip. |
