| Summary of Issue | CMV was inspected with 3 out of 4 airbag spring perches cracked and seperating on drives. Driver indicated he was aware of the issue, however has significatly worsened since his PTI this morning. |
| Justification or Need | As there is no CVSA critera that speaks to this, and the airbags were not at the point of detachment from top or bottom, the vehicle was not placed OOS. In my opinion this defect is a short time away from either puncturing air bags or detachment. |
| Request for Action | Additional CVSA criteria that speaks to airbag perches or equivilent cracks or damage could aid in preventing failures and safty issues on the road. |
