| Summary of Issue | Drivers are currently receiving a 395.8(f)(1) violation for not being current on their log books. They know it not a OOS violation so they continue to use it to "Pad" their hours. I am wondering if there is any upcoming changes making this a OOS violation? I have spoken to several drivers who stated they are told by their company's to use this practice. I think if this now becomes a OOS this practice will stop, and these drivers will be forced to keep their log books up to date. |
| Justification or Need | N/A |
| Request for Action | A possible solution would be on the second time they violate this section they would then be placed OOS. ex; Like the Medical Cards second violation. |
