| Summary of Issue | 1) Drive shafts /jack shafts, hanger bearings and mount or the U-joints. |
| Justification or Need | I have experienced on several occasions while doing Level I CVSA inspections where when doing the inspection I push or pull or just happen to notice a bolt backed out or even missing from a universal joint yoke and sometimes the drive shaft is ready to fall out because of hanger bearing or bracket failure and once there free, they become a flying projectile which I have had enough experience to know they have caused accidents with injuries. |
