| Summary of Issue | Based on internal discussions at our agency, many believe that the heading "Driver waiver" is confusing when it comes to the OOSC conditions entailing medical certificates. The confusion has caused some to believe that you are only out-of-service when you are under the requirements of an SPE and then meeting one of the other requirements under that heading. |
| Justification or Need | In order to uniformly apply this out-of-service criteria, I believe it is important to address this issue. |
| Request for Action | I would suggest a possible heading change...something like "DRIVER WAIVER" changed to"MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS" and leave all the medical related items in one section. |
