| Summary of Issue | Clarification is requested relative to the revised NOTE under 1. b. (2). 1.The Note indicates mismatched chambers are only considered mismatched if for example the vehicle is equipped with a type 20 clamp and a type 24 rotochamber, with emphasis put on the type column and not the actual difference in the type of chamber. Question: If a vehicle is equipped with a regular stroke type 20 clamp chamber with an adjustment limit of 1 ? (45mm) and a type 20 rotochamber with an adjustment limit of 2 (51mm), is this a concern? 2. The Note makes reference to a clamp type chamber and a rotochamber using the same type being 20 , how do you determine if the brake chambers are mismatched if the vehicle is equipped with a type 20 clamp chamber and a bolt type chamber when the bolt type chambers are classified in an alphabetical type rating? |
| Justification or Need | Urgent attention is required for clarification and consistency purpose. |
