| Summary of Issue | The CVSA OOS Criteria refers to section 10a and b (Tires) on 'steering axle'. 393.75 refers to 'front wheels'. This inconsistency in the OOS Criteria vs. Regulations is confusing for motorcoaches that have steerable tag axles. |
| Justification or Need | Clarification for enforcement personell in order to note proper defects by clarifying the OOS Criteria. This would make the criteria and regulations more consistent and reduce the occurence of improperly citing a defect on a passenger carrying vehicle with steerable tag axles. |
