| Summary of Issue | There is a crack that passes completely through a vented rotor into the vent area in the middle. The criteria in item 1.f.(1) & (2) addresses cracks in drums and missing portions of drums and rotors in danger of falling away. |
| Justification or Need | Should a cracked rotor fall into either section of the criteria? Due to it being cracked through, is there imminent danger similar to a drum? |
| Request for Action | If the committee determines that a rotor cracked through, with no portions missing, results in an OOS condition, it is recommended that an amendment to 1.f.(1) be made to read "drums with any external crack or cracks that open upon brake application or any rotor cracked completely through. |
