    Fifty-two U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions conducted 11,531 roadside inspections on commercial motor vehicles and removed 1,595 vehicles with brake violations from our roadways on April 25, 2018, as part of CVSA's unannounced Brake Safety Day enforcement initiative.

    CVSA-certified enforcement personnel will conduct roadside inspections on commercial motor vehicles for Brake Safety Week, Sept. 16-22, in order to identify and remove CMVs with critical brake violations from our roadways and to call attention to the dangers of faulty brake systems.

  • High Volume of Large Trucks and Buses to be Inspected June 5-7 for International Roadcheck

    June 4, 2018

    Starting June 5, 2018, commercial motor vehicle inspectors will conduct high-volume, high-visibility inspections of large trucks and buses for 72 hours as part of the CVSA's International Roadcheck annual enforcement initiative. Commercial motor vehicles and their drivers will be checked at inspection sites, weigh stations and roving patrol locations along major roadways in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
