| Committee | Passenger Carrier Committee |
| Status | Closed |
| Summary of Issue | We want to explain the difference between standard friction block and BRAKEPRO Intregrablok and obtain an exception for Intebralok for small corner cracks that are cosmetic but don't affect brake preformance or the life of the friction. |
| Justification or Need | State DOT inspectors, have been confronted with this problem and have caused buses to be taken out of service unnecessarily. |
| Request for Action | Revise brake inspection criteria to include a description of Integrablok and the edge cracks and allow that condition (small cracks) to exist without failing inspection. |
