| Summary of Issue | The Out-of-Service states "Cracks that exceed 1 - 1/2" in length. does this mean a total sum of cracks on one piece of friction material or two? Or is it one crack that exceeds 1 1/2" in length? Also, the OOSC states: lining cracks or voids that are 1/16" or more in width observable from the lining edge. Is this cumulative or one crack exceeding 1 1/6"? |
| Justification or Need | Are the measurements cumulative? Clarification required |
| Request for Action | Clarify the out-of-service to indicate either one crack or a sum of cracks. |
