| Summary of Issue | Article XXII Section II, III, IV, and VI of the bylaws state that in order to instruct these courses, the instructor shall meet the minimum criteria listed. This includes maintaining certification as a Level I inspector, hazmat inspector, or motor coach inspector, whichever apply. |
| Justification or Need | It has been brought to my attention that there are instructors currently teaching these courses and may not meet the minimum criteria set forth in the bylaws. NTC and TSI do not verify with the states that provide instructors that they are maintaining their inspector status. |
| Request for Action | Have NTC and TSI verify that all associate staff instructors are presently certified inspectors for the courses they instruct. |
