| Summary of Issue | What is the proper procedure to measure the wear in a drawbar eye? |
| Justification or Need | There is no set procedure for doing this. Typically drawbars and pintl hooks are seen coupled together. The wear cannot be measured under these conditions. However, it has been a long rule of thumb that if serious wear can be seen when the devices are coupled, the 20% criteria has been exceeded. This is noted in OOS item 2c and d. |
| Request for Action | Outline a procedure for measuring, if necessary. |
