Summary of Issue

All required lamps on the rear attached forklift on truck inoperative due to an unplugged pigtail that connects from the forklift to the trucks electrical supply.

Justification or Need

According to the OOSC, "All electrical lighting systems on towed vehicle (s) inoperative due to no electrical connection (e.g., unplugged or loose pigtail). (393.23). The forklift is not attached to a "towed vehicle", therefore, would not constitute as a pigtail violation per the OOSC.

Request for Action

Add verbiage to this particular OOS violation that would include "equipment" or "forklift".
