| Summary of Issue | Driver 10 (h). This section places a driver out of service for not having RODS on the day of inspection and conflicts with the note under 10 (i). |
| Justification or Need | This creates confusion on how the note is supposed to be applied. |
| Request for Action | Move the note in 10 (i) to 10 (h). The intent of the note is to allow a driver to complete/update a RoD on the day of inspection. Moving the note to (h) allows a driver to do this when a RoD is required. 10(i) speaks specifically to the previous 14 days so the note doesn't apply. An example could be when a driver drives a vehicle within the 160km radius. NOTE: a similar change may be required for the US and Mexican sections. |
