| Summary of Issue | Please contemplate the addition of Diesel Fuel to the OOS Criteria for Friction Surface Contaminants. |
| Justification or Need | Diesel is a fuel oil, has a higher viscosity that gasoline, and is also flammable. Should a friction surface be contaminated with diesel fuel, it could impede the ability for the operator to safely stop the vehicle, as well as in some situations pose a fire threat. |
| Request for Action | The request for action is to change Brake Systems, Section 5, (c), (vi) to include diesel fuel as a contaminant with oil and grease. Please reference Kerri Wirachowsky as being included in a conversation relating to this. |
