| Justification or Need | We have had some recent discussion in Louisiana about the proper way to secure the logs in the attached photo. In the past we have allowed the load to move as illustrated in “Option 1”. |
| Request for Action | I have attached a PowerPoint of three images of the same load each with a different method of securing logs as illustrated with a red line for the securement device, these are the only possibilities that I can think of, but you may have others. Is Option 1 an approved securement method? What would be the proper way to secure these logs as loaded on this transport vehicle? What would be the minimum number of securement devices required to secure the load? Where should these securement devices be located? |
