| Summary of Issue | There are at least 15 HazMat/DG related errors in the AAMVA CDL Handbook. I’ve provided this list to the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Kansas Department of Revenue CDL Office. I’m also requesting this action request to make sure that AAMVA is aware of the issues from more than one source. |
| Justification or Need | Errors need to be corrected so CDL training will not conflict with HM regs. |
| Request for Action | verify and fwd. letter to AAMVA so they will address the attached listed errors. This might be a good time for the appropriate committees to review the AAMVA CDL handbook for additional conflicts with the regulations. I feel HM needs to verify the listed issues, before moving to Driver and/or Training. |
