| Summary of Issue | PHMSA Interp # 15-0078. Interp states that a company name can not be used as the required PSN on a CT hauling Propane, because it will reduce the effectiveness of the Marking not being away from other markings. This has been an industry standard for many years, and no issues have ever been identified from Enforcement, First Responders, or the public, of not understanding that the CT marked with " Manning Propane" was hauling Propane. |
| Justification or Need | High level of importance. |
| Request for Action | A meeting with the HM committee and PHMSA officials to correct / change the interp. |
