| Summary of Issue | These photos are from a Ford E-350 box truck. The leaf springs were touching the pins for the rear brake calipers. The truck was not over loaded, but the leaf spring was tired (worn out).In the suspension section it talks about leafs displaced in a manner that could result in contact with a tire, rim, brake drum or frame. This has not occurred. |
| Justification or Need | There is no mention in the Brake section for this violation. If the vehicle were to hit a bump in the road, it is possible that would break off the caliper pin that is holding the caliper in place and then an OOS violation would be present. |
| Request for Action | I feel this maybe something new as I have never seen this issue before, and would like to see this addressed. |
