| Summary of Issue | One of our vehicles received a roadside inspection and was placed out of service for inoperative brake lamps. We were also cited for a violation of 396.7, Unsafe Operation forbidden. This appears to be "Stacking" and not in keeping with the guidance issued when CSA was introduced. |
| Justification or Need | I would hope this would be addressed as soon as possible to help provide clarification to this "Stacking" issue. This will only serve to drive up safety scores and cost of operations. |
| Request for Action | I am sure that other companies might be having the same problem and we are asking for a review of this policy and maybe an interpretation on this issue in the Out of Service Criteria or the appropriate policy. |
