| Summary of Issue | I recently challenged a violation that is displayed as 383.23(a)(2) Operating a CMV without a CDL, due to the fact that the driver had a valid cdl, however he was not wearing corrective lenses as required, and was informed that this is accurate according to CVSA guidelines. Due to the public nature of CSA showing this violation as Operating without a CDL is misleading and creates issues for the carrier with insurance companies and in litigation. It displays as if the company is using drivers that do not possess a CDL |
| Justification or Need | This violation is keeping me from renewing with my current insurance company as displayed on the SMS website |
| Request for Action | please review as this is a true violation of 398.3(4) and should be displayed as such |
