| Summary of Issue | Due to the revisions in the OOSC, some officers are forgetting to reference both the hub section and the brake section for contaminated linings. |
| Justification or Need | There should be cross reference notes to assist inspectors when references either OOS condition. |
| Request for Action | I am requesting a change to the North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria (OOSC). Adding a notation in the brake section of the OOSC to direct inspectors to the hub section which references oil leaks. It should be noted that the hub section supercedes the 20% brake defect provision when the leak meets the description under hubs. |
