Summary of Issue

The "Wiring and Electrical Systems in Engine and Battery Compartments" requires a "NOTE:" to be added to the criteria that explanations the following: "The terms wiring and cabling in this time have the same meaning.

Justification or Need

The justification is that it is not written anywhere. There is a need to clarify this to all certified bus inspectors.

Request for Action

I suggest adding the following phrase in the next version of the North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria: For purposes of this item, the terms wiring and cabling have the same meaning. Also, in the meantime, could we send out an official notice and/or write a explanation about that in the Guardian.
