| Summary of Issue | Clarification is requested relative to the revised "NOTE:" under Part II, Item 1. Brake System b. Front Steering Axle(s) Brakes (2)(a). The "NOTE:" makes reference to a clamp type chamber and a rotochamber using the same type being 20 as not being mismatched. What guidance is used, or how do you determine if the brake chambers are mismatched, if the vehicle is equipped with a type 20 clamp chamber and a bolt type chamber when the bolt type chambers are classified in an alphabetical type rating? |
| Justification or Need | Urgent attention is required for clarification and consistency purpose. |
| Request for Action | Further explanation of the "NOTE:" or a chart to indicate what size or type of chamber is mismatched when a vehicle is equipped on the steering axle with one clamp type chamber and one bolt type chamber, or one rotochamber with one bolt type chamber. |
