| Summary of Issue | CVEO's who are also members of military Guard/Reserve units face extended deployments at any time. There is a possibility of losing current certifications for reasons out of their control. There is a need to waiver their certification time limits. |
| Justification or Need | Due to training requirements of some call-ups, some are sent to extended military training prior to being deployed to a war zone. On their return they can be past the time limit for retaining certification. Some agencies cannot afford to retrain them. |
| Request for Action | Waiver the current time limits for certification. Give a 6 month extension from date of release from military commitments or return from deployment. Allow current certifications to remain until recertification numbers are achieved within the 6 months. |
