Summary of Issue

Court challenges in regards to brake OOS finding are being made in PA because the pressure levels given in FMCSR Appendix G to Subchapter B - Minimum Periodic Inspection Standards are seemingly lower (80 - 90 psi) as opposed to the 90- 100 psi outlined in the OOSC.

Justification or Need

There needs to be a clarification between the two documents. The TMC calls for 90-100 psc at the brake reservoir gauge.

Request for Action

Clarification is required as to why the pressures are different and which one should be used.
