| Summary of Issue | If a left rear-vision is missing or view to the left rear is obstructed by over-dimensional cargo, the vehicle should be OOS. Consider making a missing or obscured left-hand rear view mirror an OOS criteria item. |
| Justification or Need | The lack of vision to left rear does not allow for safe lane changes nor is the operator aware of emergency vehicles attempting to pass. The no-zone is dramatically increased. It results in an unsafe condition due to lack of visibility. |
| Request for Action | Item should be added to the OOSC as this condition meets CVSA Policy statement that this mechanical condition would be likely to cause an accident. |
