Shannon joined CVSA in 2023. She began her career as a trooper for the Colorado State Patrol in 2007 and found an affinity for commercial motor vehicle enforcement. Shannon joined the Motor Carrier Safety Section of the Colorado State Patrol in 2010 where she was a lead instructor for the MCSAP Training Team. Shannon was certified to teach general hazardous materials, cargo tank, other bulk packaging, advanced hazmat, NAS Part A, passenger-carrier vehicles and master instructor development, and she was certified to conduct Level I-VI Inspections, hazmat, cargo tank, other bulk packaging, and passenger-carrier vehicles.
