Third-Party Links

The Sites may contain links to third-party websites or applications, including social media pages. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites or applications, and they are not covered by this Privacy Policy. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Sites and read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personal information.

The Site may also include integrated social media tools or “plug-ins,” such as social networking tools offered by third parties. If you use these tools to share personal information or you otherwise interact with these features on the Site, those companies may collect information about you and may use and share such information in accordance with your account settings, including sharing such information with the general public. Your interactions with these third parties and the use of their features are governed by their privacy notices. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy notices of any accounts you create and use.

Digital Advertising and Analytics
We may partner with ad networks and other ad-serving providers (“advertising providers”) that serve ads on behalf of us and others on non-affiliated platforms. Some of those ads may be personalized, meaning that they are intended to be relevant to you based on information advertising providers collect about your use of the Sites and other sites or apps over time, including information about relationships among different browsers and devices. This type of advertising is known as interest-based advertising.

CVSA adheres to the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) self-regulatory principles in connection with this interest-based advertising activity.

You may visit the DAA WebChoices tool at www.aboutads.info to learn more about this type of advertising and how to opt out of this advertising on websites by companies participating in the DAA self-regulatory program. You can also exercise choices regarding interest-based advertising on your mobile device by downloading the appropriate version of the DAA’s YourAppChoices tool at https://youradchoices.com/appchoices.

If you delete your cookies or use a different browser or mobile device, you may need to renew your opt-out choices exercised through the DAA tools. Note that electing to opt out will not stop advertising from appearing in your browser or applications. It may make the ads you see less relevant to your interests.

We may also work with other third parties that collect data about your use of the Sites over time for non-advertising purposes. CVSA uses Google Analytics or other third-party services to improve the performance of the Sites and for analytics purposes. For more information about how Google Analytics collects and uses data when you use our Sites, visit https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners. To opt out of Google Analytics, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Security of Information

CVSA has implemented reasonable safeguards to help secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

Your California Privacy Rights

We may make your personal information available to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident, you may opt out of certain data sharing with third parties for direct marketing purposes. To request to opt out, please contact us at [email protected].

If you exercise this opt-out, we will not disclose personal information about you to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We may otherwise share information about you with third parties as disclosed in this Policy.

Your Choices

From time to time, CVSA may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys and/or other general communication.

If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from CVSA, you may opt out of such communications by clicking on “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email, or users may log in to the CVSA member portal, click on “My Profile,” then either select “I do not want to receive any emails; please unsubscribe me from all lists” to be removed from all email communications. Alternatively, users may individually opt out of categories of communications.
