2026 Unannounced HM/DG Road Blitz Enforcement Guidance

This information is for lead agency contacts, lead alternates and training points of contact only.

This year’s HM/DG Road Blitz is scheduled for June 8-12.

For this annual, unannounced hazardous materials/dangerous goods (HM/DG) inspection and enforcement initiative, CVSA is asking jurisdictions in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. to submit HM/DG inspection and violation data for those five days.

CVSA is not releasing details to the public or media in advance about when or where these inspections will occur. We ask that jurisdictions also not announce the dates of this enforcement campaign or share this webpage.

Data Submission

For this initiative, inspectors should use our online data submission form to provide their HM/DG data directly to CVSA.

NEW THIS YEAR: Each individual inspector may submit one online summary submission for their entire week.

Note: Inspectors do not need to submit data for inspections that do not include hazardous materials/dangerous goods.

The deadline for data submissions is Friday, June 19. We will no longer accept data after June 19 and will not be able to provide extensions. After the data form has closed, we will gather and analyze the submissions and release the results later this year.
