CVSA Submits Comments on SFD ANPRM

On Nov. 27, CVSA submitted comments (PDF) in response to FMCSA’s ANPRM (PDF) (opens in a new tab) regarding the agency’s interest in developing a new methodology to determine when a motor carrier is not fit to operate commercial motor vehicles in or affecting interstate commerce. CVSA agreed that it is appropriate for FMCSA to move forward with revisions to the safety fitness determination (SFD) process, while offering recommendations on how they can improve the proposed revisions.
