Comments on NSEC Hours-of-Service Exemption Request

On Jan. 17, 2019, CVSA submitted (PDF) comments to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in opposition to an exemption request (PDF) from North Shore Environmental Construction Inc. (NSEC) for exemption from the 14-hour on-duty period. The application from NSEC requests that the company’s drivers be exempt from the 14-hour on-duty period when responding to an environmental emergency.
