Comments on NHTSA ADS Regulatory Barriers ANPRM

On July 29, 2019, CVSA submitted (PDF) comments to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) (PDF) on regulatory barriers for vehicles with automated driver systems (ADS). CVSA’s comments discussed the benefits of a commercial motor vehicle universal electronic vehicle identifier in identifying and interacting with ADS-equipped CMVs.
