U.S. Congress Passes Continuing Resolution, No Government Shutdown

On Sept. 30, the U.S. Congress passed a 45-day continuing resolution, funding the U.S. government through Nov. 17. President Biden signed the legislation into law that same night. The bill, HR 5860, extended current funding levels and avoided the potential government shutdown.
