Secretary of Transportation-Designate Pete Buttigieg Testifies at Senate Confirmation Hearing

On Jan. 21, 2021, the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation held a confirmation hearing to question Secretary of Transportation-Designate Pete Buttigieg. During the hearing Secretary-Designate Buttigieg outlined his plan for infrastructure investment. He also placed particular emphasis on improving the agency’s safety culture and making sure every action the agency takes is rooted in its core mission of safety.
