Senate EPW Committee Approves Highway Bill

On July 30, 2019, the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW) marked-up and approved S. 2302, America’s Transportation Infrastructure Act of 2019 (PDF). This marks the first official consideration of legislation related to the highway bill reauthorization; however, the majority of commercial motor vehicle (CMV)-related safety issues do not fall under EPW’s jurisdiction and are not included in this portion of the bill.
