Comments to Clarification to the Applicability of Emergency Exemptions NPRM

On Jan. 25, CVSA submitted  (PDF) (opens in a new tab)comments to FMCSA’s Dec. 8, 2022, notice of proposed rulemaking (PDF) (opens in a new tab) (NPRM) seeking to narrow the scope of regulations from which relief is provided automatically for motor carriers providing direct assistance when an emergency has been declared. The NPRM responds, in part, to a petition  (PDF) (opens in a new tab)submitted by CVSA to the agency.
